Process

How I work.

  1. Discovery call

We talk through your goals, constraints and existing systems, so I understand the problem before proposing anything.

  2. Written scope and estimate

You get a written scope with a fixed price or an hourly estimate, so we agree on what is being built before I start.

  3. Weekly iterations with ANODA Loop

AI agents draft, I review every change, and you see working software every week. You always know where the project stands.

    How ANODA Loop works →
  4. Launch and handover

I launch, document the system and hand it over clearly. Ongoing support is available if you want it.

Why work with me

Why work with me

  1. One accountable senior engineer

You talk to the person who writes and reviews the code, from the first call to the handover.

  2. CET time zone, English and BHS

Working hours that overlap with the EU and the UK, and communication in English, Bosnian, Croatian or Serbian.

  3. AI-assisted, human-reviewed

Agents draft code, tests and documentation. I decide and review. Nothing reaches you without my review.

  4. Experience inside larger teams

Years of work with Povio and Q agency, on products such as DailyMail and Stepathlon.

  5. Clean handover

Documentation, a readable history and no lock-in, so your team or the next developer can carry on.

Alem Tatarević

Senior Full-Stack & AI Engineer

About

I build production software that has to work on real, messy data.

I am a senior frontend and full-stack engineer based in Cazin, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have been building production software since 2018, first as co-founder of META5 and, since 2021, through my own company ANODA.

I work mostly with React, Next.js and the Shopify ecosystem (Liquid and Hydrogen), with Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL and MongoDB on the back end. Today most of my focus is AI engineering: LLM features and retrieval systems.

FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Do you work with clients outside Bosnia and Herzegovina?

Yes. Most of my work is remote for companies in the EU, the UK and the US. I work in the CET time zone and communicate in English, Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian.

Can you join our existing codebase or team?

Yes. I regularly work inside existing teams and codebases, including large ones. For an unfamiliar system I usually start with a short technical review so we agree on risks and priorities before changing anything.

What does a typical project take?

It depends on scope. Smaller Shopify fixes and improvements usually take a few days. A custom Liquid theme or redesign is typically two to six weeks, and a Hydrogen storefront or a custom web application usually six to twelve weeks. After a short call I send a written scope with a fixed price or an hourly estimate, whichever fits the project better.

How do you approach AI features?

Carefully and with real data. I build features that answer from your own sources, with clear fallbacks when the model does not know, and I test answer quality before launch. If a simpler non-AI solution works better, I will tell you.

What happens after launch?

You get documentation and a clear handover. I can also stay on for maintenance and improvements on a monthly basis.
